..................Welcome........

1/2/10

The first night in a new year..

It was the first night in a new year...the year 2010...a night with a full moon...and snow..!

Miss Moussie and Mozes were sitting on the old garden bench..

-How magical is this moon dear Mozes,I could sit here for ours if it wasn't so cold ..its freezing...I think in a few days we will be able to skate..on the pond..
-I'm sure my sweet Miss, and I wish you a lot of fun doing so..
-You are a great ice skater Mozes..you were going to teach me the pirouette remember...
-This, I will have to do another time dearest...I can not stay in the garden any longer..
-O....I see....twittered Miss Moussie with a very sad squeak...I understand....You want to back to Nowhere...and continue your journey and adventures.....
-I do, sighed Mozes...can't help it...I am a traveler...
-Please be safe my big bear friend, twittered Miss Moussie with a tear in her eye..please take care...This Nowhere can be very dangerous..you never know where you are when you are there......I hope you don't get lost..
-Never fear dear lady, said Mozes with a smile...never fear...I will always find the way home...

And then they sat there for a while...A Bear and a Mouse, gazing at the moon...together in there thoughts and in there hearts..

Oh dearest, your illustrations are treasures, and Miss Moussie and Mozes are so attached at the soul. Your stories are sweet and are classic for me. You capture just perfectly, the spirit of it all; the bittersweet truth that sometimes, we have to leave those we love to answer a calling. But love conquers all and this was truly a magical holiday for me, watching the story of all of our friends unfold to a delightful, funny and heart-touching tale. I must tell you, that I finished a book for you. I will be sending it shortly. Forgive my primative efforts at drawing. Your skills are obviously influenced by: 1. talent 2. training 3. lots of practice 4. a wonderful repertoire of characters. I am only beginning, but dearest, I had the most fun yesterday. I just need to know one thing: what is your favorite color to wear?

What a peaceful friendship post. You make our friends come alive. They manage to now live within my heart. I start missing them if I don't come to visit you and yours. I look towards a new year, with many nights a new, with you and your now famous mousse, dear Dutch.

Oh you went to NOWHERE! If I am drawing again, it is because of YOU and Ruben and Patricia. You have all encouraged me to do so, and I had such fun. I just need to practice more. Your little book that is on its way is a testimony to that. Oh how you make me smile! Anita

Oh my dearest one,
I laughed so hard when I saw your comments on Auntie Jackie's blog.....I have been on a little whirl-a-gig myself, and like you, I find peace in my writing. BUT LATELY, THANKS TO YOU and Patricia and Ruben, my little doodles are now beginning to give me joy. You know why I haven't drawn in so long? A teacher way back in 1977 told me I had no talent in a very rude and ugly way. I said, "Forget this....I'm doing something else." Well, I went on to do theatre and dance which was a great thing, but it's amazing what one can do with some loving care. Criticism is always out there, but back then, I was a tender 19 years old. ONWARD BOUND NOW! Bisous, Anita
