Oh THANK YOU DEAREST for inviting me to Brambly Hedge; I NEVER HAVE BEEN until now....it IS TIME to go, these beautiful, lazy and creative summer days. What better place to be than to be among sweet mice that are going to celebrate A WEDDING! I LOVE LITTLE BASIL! And little Dusty looks so handsome in his suit, UNTIL HE GETS COVERED WITH DUST! Well, I guess every wedding has a bad moment in it somewhere!!!!

I have to tell you Duchess, that I simply love Brambley Hedge books.... and teapots and cups and everything else from the mind of Jill Barklem! They are the most darling little pages of artwork filled with unbelievable details. I often pull them out and pour over the small pages for inspiration. I think her art is very much akin to Beatrix Potter, my other idol. I also am inspired by the great Anton Pieck,( a slave to detail, like myself) I love that he was Dutch, as my maiden name was Osterhout and many of my ancestors came from your fair country of Holland.
